Issues 712 Domicile Certificates on spot
Pampore: With an aim to deliver services at the doorsteps of general public, Tehsildar Pampore, Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din on Wednesday organized camps for grievance redressal and delivery of services like Domicile Certificates at villages Munpora and Ladhu of Tehsil Pampore. The public particularly respectable citizens also attended these camps and brought their grievances to the notice of the Tehsildar.
The grievances were mostly related to availability of essential services and land issues. “Some of the grievances were resolved on the spot”, informed Tehsildar Pampore.
He further added that over the past few weeks there has been a huge rush for Domicile Certificates with the general public, particularly the student community, thronging Tehsil office for obtaining the same. In order to simplify the procedures and formalities involved we decided to issue Domicile Certificates in the villages itself. The certificates were issued with minimal formalities. There was a very good response from the general public and the move was widely appreciated.” Tehsildar Pampore also assured that such camps would be held very frequently and we would be reaching out to the general public in each village for delivery of various services and effective grievance redressal. The government has decided to launch the third phase of Back to Village Programme from 2nd to 12th of October, and in the lead up to the programme, the government has planned to reach out to the public for effective delivery of services and redressal of grievances on urgent basis.
