JK Forest Corporation: Employees protest, demand release of salaries

SRINAGAR: All Jammu and Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Union on Wednesday held a massive protest demonstration here in Srinagar demanding the release of pending salary as per 7th pay commission.
The protesting employees assembled here in press enclave under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Forest Corporation Employees Union, holding placards and banners in their hands which reads “Release four months pending salary”, ” Release 230 crores Grant-in- Aid” and ” we want Justice”.
The protesting employees said that despite attending the duties on regular basis in the forest corporation, but their salaries is pending from last four months.
Bashir Ahmad, one of the protesters said that we have approached the concerned officials from time to time to release our pending salaries,but it is unfortunate our salaries is still pending.
“The employees are facing the financial crisis at their homes in this pandemic situation as our salaries have been not released by the government,” He said.
They protesters employees said if the government fails to release their four months salaries as per the 7th pay commission till 23th September, they will go to hold a protest on 24th September in front of the Civil Secretariat gate.
The protesting employees also requested the Lt Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to look into matter.
