18 new cases reported in Pampore medical block

PAMPORE: About 18 new cases of COVID -19 were reported in Pampore medical block of Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Health authorities in Pampore told Kashmir Reader that they had collected samples of many persons on 26 of this month out of these test results of 18 returned positive today.
Block Medical Officer Pampore , Dr. Gulzar told Kashmir Reader that they had taken samples of admitted patients on 24 of July.
“Retest results of 26 returned positive so we have 44 positive cases as on today,” he said, adding among them 11 cases were of SSB personnel from a camp in Lethpora area.
The BMO informed that among 44 positive cases, 26 are already in quarantine.
The other cases including 7 civilians were shifted to isolation facilities in Public Health Centre Samboora.
Nine persons were sent home from an isolation centre in Samboora area of Pampore medical block after recovery.
They were admitted in the isolation facility at the hospital 15 days back and their samples were sent for testing repeatedly.
The recovered persons belong to different areas of Pampore medical block, BMO said. Pampore medical block reported a total 270 positive cases since March out of which 135 cases recovered and nine died.
He further said that there are 126 active cases in different isolation centres in Pampore, Samboora, Pulwama.
