Six shops sealed for violation of lockdown norms in Pampore

PAMPORE: A joint team of officials from revenue department Pampore, Police and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYC) volunteers sealed six were shops and a fine of rupees 5000 from locals and different shopkeepers in Pampore area of Pulwama for violation of lockdown norms, officials said on Sunday.
Officials told Kashmir Reader that three shops were sealed at Pampore town and three at Lethpora area of Pampore by a team of officials led by Naib Tehsildar Pampore for violation of lockdown norms. They added that a fine of rupees 5,000 was realised from locals and different shopkeepers for not wearing masks.
“Keys of six shops were also seized for violating lockdown norms,” officials said, adding that they warned to follow norms or they will face penalty as warranted by law. The officials also stopped construction work in a red zone area in Pampore town.
Various equipment including spades and shovels were seized by the inspecting team.
They residents were served a warning to stay away from construction in red zones area till it is denotified by the concerned authorities. The district administration has extended lockdown till 25 of July 2020.
Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din appealed to people to follow lockdown and observe social distancing with the use of face masks.
