Body of missing Pulwama man retrieved from Jhelum in Pampore

PAMPORE: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday recovered a body from river Jhelum in Pampore area on Tuesday.
SHO Pampore Manzoor Ahmad told Kashmir Reader that some sand diggers at Bujbagh Patalbagh area of Pampore noticed a body in river Jhelum and informed concerned police station. They added that police reached the spot and retrieved the body and shifted the body to Sub district hospital Pampore for examination and identification. The dead person was identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Rather (37), son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Monghama village of Pulwama, who had been missing for the past three days.
A case was registered in concerned police station and investigation is in process. After performing medico-legal formalities, the body was handed to relatives for burial.
