Police arrests 4 OGWs in Sopore

Baramulla: Sopore police claimed that they arrest four over ground workers of LET outfit and solved a grenade attack case.
Sopore police in a statement to press said that, on specific information regarding presence of LeT militants in general area Potkha Muqam/ Chanpora Athoora, Sopore along with 52RR and paramilitary CRPF launched operations at different locations at Muqam Pothka and Chanpora Athoora and apprehended four LET militant associates.
The police identify the detainee people as Irfan Ahmed Mir son of Mohammad Maqbool Mir, Irfan Ahmed Khan son of Gulam Mohammad Khan, Qaiser Rehman Khan son of Abdul Rehman Khan residents of Putkhah and Suhail Ahmed Ganie son of Gulam Mohammad Ganie resident of Chanpora, Athoora.
Police said that during there sustained interrogation all confessed to grenade attack on police post Putkha on directions of LeT militant Fayaz Ahmed War alis Umar and Usman.
Moreover all were in touch with militants through different social media apps. All four have been arrested in grenade attack case FIR No 48/2020 U/S 307, 7/27 IPC , 16 ULAP Act P/S Tarzoo by Sopore police and further investigation into case is going on.
