BARAMULLA: Fresh snowfall started in hilly areas of north Kashmir on Friday which damaged crops and brought down the temperature.
Uri received around 2 inches of snowfall, Narvaw 1 inches, Tangmarg 2 inches, Gulmarg 4 inches, upper belt of Kandi and Rafiabad 2 inches each, Bangus valley in Handwara received 5 inches, Kralpora Manzgam 2 inches, Lolab 2 inches, Machil 4, Rajwar Dogripora 2 inches Mawer 2 inches and Gurez in Bandipora also received fresh snowfall.
Meanwhile, a residential house was damaged due to incessant rains in Tangmarg area of district Baramulla on Friday night.
Roads of Kamalkote, Dardkote and Garkote roads in Uri have been closed for traffic movement after heavy rains triggering landslides and shooting stones on Friday late night.
