Pharmacist booked for hiding travel history

BARAMULLA: Police on Tuesday booked a pharmacist and registered a case against him in Boniyar area of border town Uri in Baramulla district for hiding his travel history to evade quarantine process.
Sources said that SDM Uri Riyaz Ahmad received an information that an employee of health department – who is a pharmacist posted – in public health centre Boniyar, recently returned from Saudi Arabia hid his travel history and was staying at his home without providing information to administration or health department.
They said after proper verification, SDM Uri ordered police to book him and register a case against him.
A case under sections 188, 271 IPC has been registered at police station Boniyar against the person.
“Yes we booked an employee of health department and registered a case against him after for hiding his travel history,” a senior police officer said.
