Sanitation drive held in Baramulla, isolation wards set up in Sopore

BARAMULLA: In wake of coronavirus worries, a sanitation drive was started from Khanpora to Sangrama in district Barmaulla by Deputy Commissioner Gulam Nabi Itoo on Wednesday. DC requested general public to avoid public gatherings, co-operate with the department to clean the surroundings. “People should follow advisory which has been issued from time to time,” he said.

In Sopore, the department of Health has set up an isolation ward in Sub District Hospital (SDH) Sopore on Wednesday to handle the current situation. The ward has been set up in the hospital to tackle the threat of deadly infection. An isolation ward was also set up in government medical college (GMC) Baramulla. Medical superintendent associated hospital GMC, Dr Masood said they have made available important drugs to handle the virus.
