JK Cement employees protest, demand release of pending salaries

PAMPORE: JK Cements employees on Wednesday staged a protest at Khrew area of Pampore and demanded release of pending salary. The employees demanded release of salaries pending from last fourteen months, implementation of 7th pay commission and updating of CP fund.

Ali Mohammad Magray, chairman JK Cements employees association told Kashmir Reader that their salaries are pending from past 15 months and their CP fund is being deducted from last 5 years, but not credited into their accounts. “Our kids are being thrown out of school due nonpayment of fees,” he said. Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, another employee said that the plant was closed due to inefficiency of management, “not due to employees”.
