She has not been keeping well owing to her continuous confinement for past seven months.”

“A person of her standing who has served on various key positions should not have received such awful treatment. She has been lending voice to the people of her constituency. A name to reckon with her contribution towards democracy has been immense. To ensure the total redemption of J&K all the incarcerated leaders, political activists lodged in their houses or outside should be released without any delay,” he said. He said that Shameema has been raising the issues of the people of Srinagar. “She is a known figure in Srinagar. Regrettably, she is under house confinement for previous seven months. I urge the government to release here without delay,” Mir said.
