Police foil protest by JK Bank job aspirants

SRINAGAR: Police on Monday foiled a protest demonstration held by J&K Bank job aspirants outside its headquarters here detaining several youth. The agitated youth were protesting against the recent government’s decision of scrapping recruitment process of Probationary Officers and Banking Associates notified in 2018. The police detained several youth who assembled outside the head quarters and took them away in vehicles, while dispersing the rest. Scores of aspirants from various districts of Kashmir valley assembled here in front of the JK bank headquarters holding placards and banners in their hands. Many youth said that it is quite unfair that they having spent their time preparing for this crucial exam have even spent a lot of money on the coaching and fees for the exam
