K Cements employees demand pending salaries

PAMPORE: JK cements Employees Association on Monday held a protest demonstration in factory premises at Khrew demanding immediate release of their pending salary that has been withheld for more than one years and updating of CP fund. The aggrieved employees said that they being deprived of their salaries for fourteen months seeking immediate attention of the administration and Lt Governor to resolve their issues. Khursheed Ahmad, president JK Cements Employees Association told Kashmir Reader that they were without salaries for last 15 months due to which they face a number of hardships. He said due to non-payment of salaries the schooling of their wards is getting affected. “We are unable to pay school fee of our kids and meet other requirements,” he said. The employees added that updating their CP Fund is also an issue besides a whereabouts of the welfare fund deducted from the employees is also an issue
