PAMPORE: An awareness programme on Coronavirus was held at Tehsil office here to impart awareness among the village heads on Monday. Dr Murtaza Hussain, Medical Officer, Sub district hospital (SDH) Pampore enumerated a number of precautionary measures which should be adopted to fight against the spread of the contagion. “people need not to panic. they should just follow some precautionary measures already being communicated to protect themselves and their families from COVID-19,” he said. He also urged people to focus on hygiene of their environments in order to remain at bay from the disease which has hit the world. Tehsildar Pampore Ishtiyaq Mohi-ud-Din told Kashmir Reader that the the awareness must be imparted at village level. “we had invited village heads as participants so the awareness could be communicated to people of villages in the Tehsil in a more holistic way,” he said. Naib Tehsildar Pampore, Nain Tehsildar Khrew and others staff members, Namardars of Tehsildar and locals were also present on the occasion.
