BARAMULLA: Around 49 employees of different departments were suspended after they were found absent from their duties in Boniyar and Uri Tehsil s of Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Official sources said that after received several complaints from public, Sub Divisional Magistrate Uri Riyaz Ahmad Malik visited offices of different departments in Boniyar and Uri Tehsil s and ordered the suspension 49 government employees of electric division, horticulture, agriculture, ITI, social welfare including 13 school teachers, and other.
The local hailed the action of the SDM and appealed officials to check the attendance of other departments so that general public can not suffer.
