Illicit timber seized in Boniyar, Uri

BARAMULLA: Police on Tuesday night seized illicit timber in Boniyar area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Official sources in the police department said that a team of police station Boniyar, Uri headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Tariq Ahmad raided Bachi village of Boniyar, and seized 40 logs of illicit timber which was cut down from the nearby forests, but the smugglers involve in the crime are still at large.
Police said that police station Boniyar, registered a case under FIR number 10/2020 under section 379 IPC and 26 CFA and the hunt to trace the involved person is on.
