BARAMULLA: The residents of Hanjivera in Pattan area of northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday staged a protest against the PDD and PHE departments for failing to provide them the basic needs of life.
Large number of people of Hanjivera Pattan took to the streets and staged a protest against the shortage of electricity and shortage of portable drinking water in the area.
Protesters shouted slogans against the PDD and PHE departments and blocked the Srinagar Muzafarabad highway for hours.
Later Tehasildar Singhpore Nisar Ahmad and DO police post Mirgund Mohammad Ashraf reached on the spot and assured that they will forward their complaints to the higher officials of the both departments.
