NIA summons senior Congress leader GM Saroori

NEW DELHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned a former minister and a Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad Saroori for questioning in connection with militancy related cases in Kishtwar.
Saroori who is the state Congress vice president and thought to be a close aide of Ghulam Nabi Azad. His brother was among those named for Hizbul Mujahideen links.
Sources said that Saroori’s mane had surface in a case regarding violence and arson that took place on August 9.
Saroori is a reportedly a close aide of Ghulam Nabi Azad.
NIA during the past one year has been handling the four major militant strikes in Kishtwar .
