PAMPORE: Some unknown persons attacked power development department’s receiving station at Pampore on Monday evening and ransacked its office.
An employee of PDD receiving station Pampore told Kashmir Reader that a miscreants appeared in their office on Monday evening at around 6:30.
He said that they were furious with power supply in the area.
“We explained to them that we have not resorted to any unwarranted power cuts and the crisis existed due to some fault in transmission line due to by snowfall on that day,” JE receiving station Pampore said, adding that they didn’t pay any heed to their explanation and started ransacking the office. “They damaged few chairs, heating appliances and few matting sheets were set on fire,” he said, adding that they were scared and called concerned police station that sent a team but the miscreants managed to flee from the spot.
They appealed authorities to take a serious note of the incident and lodge an FIR into the incident so that such incident is not repeated in future.
