BARAMULA: Five persons sustained injuries during firing and shelling along Line of Control in Kupwara Tangdhar on Thursday. The firing and shelling also resulted in damage to two houses.
The house of Mohammad Sayed of Chatpadya caught fire after a shell exploded there.
The firing, according to locals, started around 6am and continued till 11 am on Thursday. Three persons sustained injury in Danisayeda while two got injured in Chatpadya area.
Station House Officer Police station Tangdhar Waseem Ahmad confirmed that five persons were injured and several houses damage.
