Sufi Council calls for resolution of grievances through dialogue

‘Will submit report about Kashmir situation to GOI’

SRINAGAR: Saying that all the grievances can be resolved through dialogue and respect for each other, All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council (AISSC)
Monday said that they would act as a bridge between J&K and prosperity.
A 15-member team of AISSC headed by Syed Naseruddin Chisthy who is on two-day visit to Kashmir said this during a presser here.
Chisthy said they want to resolve all grievances through dialogue for prosperity of the area and inhabitants with a rider that it is in national
interest of India.
He also said that during their visit to various shrines and interactions with people in Srinagar, they received feedback about the ground
situation.
“We will formulate a report on it for further submission to government,” he said.
He assured every possible help for the development and prosperity of J&K within the framework of the constitution of India.
The chairman of council appealed not to fall prey to militancy which is projected in the form of Jihad from across the border.
“We condemn this. The false propaganda from across the borders have created a war like situation between development and prosperity on one side and
inhumanity and sufferings on another side,” he said.
He also said that they can offer free coaching and other facilities to the students aspiring to become doctors.
“We will provide them all facilities so that they can compete with other students of country besides compensating the loss of shutdown days,” he
said.
Pitching for promoting Kashmir as international Sufi religious tourism destination, he said that Srinagar is very important to Sufism because of
special relationship with Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz (RA) of Ajmer.
“We will seek establishment of international Sufi centre and international Sufi music academy here,” he said.
