Srinagar: Police on Monday claimed to have recovered a girl who was kidnapped from central Kashmir’s Budgam area.
A spokesman of police said that on 25th March 2018 Police Station Budgam received a written complaint from Aijaz Ahmad of Kakan Maran that his sister (name withheld) had been kidnapped by Zahoor Ahmad Dar of Chatabugh Budgam.
“Upon receiving this information, a case FIR NO. 56/2018 under section 363 RPC was registered and investigation was taken up”, police said.
“During the course of investigation, raids were conducted by Budgam police at various suspected places and subsequently the said girl was recovered and the accused was also arrested during the same intervening night of 25/26 March 2018” the official said.
