Sopore: Scores of undergraduate students of Government Degree College Sopore (GDC) on Monday staged a protest demonstration at college campus against the Kashmir University for delaying their examinations.

The protesting students while alleging that the University was spoiling their future demanded that their 3rd and 4th semester examination should be conducted jointly.

“We demand that our 3rd and 4th semester examination should be held jointly as we have lost a lot of  time” ,  said Mohammad Asim one of the student.

He said that it has become a routine for KU ‘to create trouble for students’ and ‘play with our careers’.

Moreover Asim said’ similar protests took place last year and number of memorandums were given to the university authorities but all in vain.

Students claimed that after semester system of examination students are only ‘suffering’and demanded a roll back of the ongoing semester based examination system.”
