Jammu: Two people were killed and 26 others injured on Thursday when a minibus plunged into a deep gorge in Jammu’s Doda district, a police official said.

“Two persons died and 26 others were injured when a mini bus on way from Halaran village to Kara Gandoh in Doda district went out of the driver’s control and plunged into a deep gorge,” police said.

They said that a mini bus Bearing registration No. JK06-6959 on way from Halaran to Kara Gandoh plunged into a deep gorge near Kara Gandoh.

Police added that nine persons were airlifted to Jammu for specialized treatment. The condition of the nine passengers is said to be critical while the rest were treated at the local hospital.
