Anantnag: Scores of 1st semester students from Degree College Boys Anantnag Saturday staged protest against the Kashmir University for ‘failing to add objective marks in their marks cards’.
The students assembled inside the premises of their college and raised slogans against Kashmir University and demanded justice.
Students alleged that Kashmir University has failed to add the objective marks in their mark sheets, saying that it seems that KU has changed its criteria of 2014 without even informing the students.
“We appeared in the examination in the year 2016 and the KU delayed the results for at least one year and declared it on Friday. The students while appearing in the exams were asked to write two papers i.e. objective type and descriptive,” the students said, adding that but the KU officials have not added the marks of objective type answer sheet in the marks sheet.
The students alleged that maximum students of 1st year in Anantnag College have failed in some subjects.
Students added that out of three hundred students, only 28 have passed in commerce stream.
They appealed the KU officials to look into the matter and fulfill their demand at an earliest.
