JAMMU: Representatives of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) J&K State Council headed by Chairman Rahul Sahai called on Minister for Information, Technical Education, Youth Services and Sports, Imran Raza Ansari hereon Monday.
During the meeting, the minister was apprised of the functioning of CII and its proposals in various fields for creating favourable environment for the growth of the industry, an official handout read.
The delegation also projected various issues faced by the business fraternity in the state besides highlighting their endeavour for providing platform to the skilled youth of the state to connect them with the commercial world. The CII enables young entrepreneurs to update themselves with new industrial trends besides guiding them on variety of issues.
The minister commended the role of CII in promoting business interests among the young entrepreneurs besides strengthening industry’s role economic development. He assured full support to the federation in its endeavours to give a further boost to state’s industrial profile particularly in encouraging new start ups, the handout added.
