Srinagar: The Police officer who threatened a doctor in south Kashmir’s Qazigund town was directed to report to the Deputy Inspector General of Police office in Anantnag, police said.

Police said that necessary action will be taken against the officer.

“In reference to the Qazigund incident, we regret it and at the same time assure that necessary action shall be taken into the matter,” police said in a statement.

“Officer allegedly involved in the incident has been directed to report to the DIG office SKR (south Kashmir range),” the police statement added.

Earlier, a video went viral on social media in which a police officer was seen threatening a doctor.

“Talk to me courteously. I will drag you out ….I will see you tonight,” the police officer is seen telling the doctor.
