Srinagar: After Minister of Education Altaf Bukhari assured the couple that they would be reinstated, the couple reportedly has decided not to join the school.

According to the reports, the Deputy Commissioner of Pulwama had called the couple and the school administration to his office to reinstate the couple as teachers in the Muslim Education Institute-Pampore.

“When we left the office, just outside the office of DC, the person from school management again humiliated me and passed comments on me. So we both decided not to join the school again,” Tariq Bhat said.

He said joining the same school again can be problematic for them. “If we again join the school then tomorrow they can level any sort of worse allegation against both of us and we will be again disrespected,” he said.

Bhat said that they will file a defamation case against school management for tarnishing their image.

The couple teacher was reinstated on the directions of concerned DC after Altaf Bukhari and SHRC took cognizance of the issue.

Earlier, Education Minister Altaf Bukhari said that the couple would be reinstated “as they have not committed any wrong”. “as they have not committed any wrong”.
