MeT predicts more rains, snowfall during next 24 hours

Srinagar: The Meteorological Department (MeT) Wednesday said that the Valley may witness yet another downpour on Thursday. However, it said that there is no forecast of heavy snowfall in plains while moderate to heavy snowfall is likely to occur in upper mountainous regions. 

Director MeT, Sonam Lotus said there will be rains with light spells of snowfall in the Valley’s plains in the next 24 hours. However, afterwards the weather will remain dry. “It will be cloudy, but the weather will be dry,” he said.

However, Lotus said in mountainous regions there are still chances of heavy snowfall, while in plains, it will rain and there can be spells of light snow.
