Srinagar: Hundreds gathered for the funeral procession of slain Mugees Mir- a top militant commander of Zakir Musa militant outfit, who was killed in a shootout at Zakura area of Srinagar last evening.

Several hundred people gathered in Parimpora area raising pro-freedom, anti-India and pro militant slogans.

Mugees Mir according to police was associated with the newly formed Ansar Ghazwatul Hind group led by Zakir Musa.

A sub Inspector of police  was also killed while as his deputy was injured in the  militant attack carried out by Mugees and his associates in Srinagar on Friday afternoon, police said.

Meanwhile authorities , fearing law and order prolems after the killing, have imposed curfew like restrictions in Srinagar.

All schools and colleges have been closed in Srinagar while as train services have been suspended across Kashmir.
