Srinagar: Clashes erupted in old city area of Srinagar after students of a degree college staged a protest against the braid chopping incidents.
According to the reports, clashes erupted in Hawal area of Srinagar after students of Islamia College took out a protest march against braid chopping incidents in the valley.
Reports said that Police resorted to tear gas shelling to disperse protesters leading to minor clashes in the area.
Braid cutting incidents have continued to scare the people in the valley. In many localities, night vigil is being kept by the locals to prevent the incidents of braid chopping.
