Protests erupted in outskirts of Srinagar following a fresh chopping incident on Wednesday. Reports said that the braid of a woman was chopped off in Nowgam area of Srinagar.
Soon after the incident, people took to streets and alleged that two non-local persons allegedly chopped off the braid of a 29-year-old woman (name withheld) today morning.
The protesters blocked the road, triggering a massive traffic jam in the area. They were demanding the arrest of the alleged braid-choppers. Reports said that police have reached the spot to disperse the protesters.
