School students allegedly harassed by Army

The students of a private school in South Kashmir’s Pulwama today alleged that they were harassed by the Army in Lethpora village of the district.

According to the sources, on Thursday morning when a bus of Muslim Educational Institute, Pampore carrying about 40 students reached Lethpora, forces deployed there stopped the bus and started harassing the driver and students. The assault on the students and staff led to the injuries to some students.

The Army personnel reportedly belonging to a nearby camp of Army’s 50RR damaged the school bus due to which some female students fainted.

In a video which is doing rounds on the internet, the students alleged that they were harassed by the army and accused the Army of thrashing the teachers who were present in the bus.

However, the school administration and police have denied these reports and said these baseless reports which are being spread on social media.
