A day long grand literary event “Bazm-e-Yaran” was held on Tuesday at Samanbal Badran Magam.

The event was organized by Gulshan Cultural Forum Kashmir in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages and Radio Kashmir Srinagar.

Welcome note was presented by Gulshan Badrani. This day long function based on different sessions was presided over by Abdul Ahad Fayaz and Syed Bashir Kousar respectively.

The chief guest on the occasion was Dr. Basher Basheer.

During the function late literary personalities of the area were remembered and their contribution towards art, literature and culture was highlighted. The function was attended by many people and some literary figures from different parts of the state.

Some awards were also given to senior poets of the Magam, Beerwah and Khag area. Among others who attended the event include Ab Ahad Dildar, Ab. Haq Sayil, Mohmmad Hussain Taseer, Gh. Hassan Shayiq, Ab. Majeed Saroor, Ab Gani Tabasum, Ali Mohammad Pandit, Maqbool Shida, Khurshid Khamosh, Mohi-ud-Din Hamid, and Latief Niyazi.

Poetic symposium was also the part of event. The poets who participated in the poetic session include Ab. Ahad Shahbaz, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Hilal Kashmiri, Ghulam Mohammad, Amber Din Makhami, Shamima Firdous, Mumtaz Gufbali, Nazir Shahid , Ab Aziz Betab, Nisar Gulzar, Mohammad Akbar Kalan and Ibni Shahbaz. Participants hailed the event and appreciated the literary contribution of the Gulshan Cultural Forum Kashmir. At the end vote of thanks by Syed Bashir Kousar.
