Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the situation in Kashmir is much better than it was earlier.
“The situation is improving in Kashmir valley. We wish to see smiles on the face of Kashmiri people,” Rajnath Singh said during a press conference in Srinagar.
He said that he has asked the security personnel during a security review meeting to treat minors who are involved with unlawful activities to treat them under Juvenile Justice system.
“I have also suggested Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti watch it personally. They should be counselled better,” He said.
Home Minister also said that he has instructed security agencies not to go for any excess during the anti-militancy operations.
Home Minister said that the worst affected groups in Kashmir are the businessmen, workers and the poor
“The terrorists have destroyed many generations of Kashmiris. We will not allow another generation to go waste in Kashmir,” He said.
He also said that the Central government will run a special tourism drive for Kashmir to promote tourism in the state.
“Terrorism has adversely affected the tourism sector. I appeal everyone to come to Kashmir,” He said.
Home Minister also spoke about the permanent solution to Kashmir problem. He says his outreach is based on Five Cs.
The Five Cs of Home Minister’s Kashmir outreach programme are 1-Compassion 2- Communication 3- Coexistence 4-Confidence Building & 5- Consistency.
