Clashes broke out between students of Government Degree College, Shopian and Government forces in Gagren, Shopian after students of Government Degree College, Shopian protested and pelted stones on nearby SOG Camp at Gagren, Shopian.
The Government forces in response retaliated with tear smoke shells triggering clashes in the area.
Clashes were going on when the last reports came in.
Pertinently, a massive search operation has been launched at various villages in twin south Kashmir districts of Shopian and Kulgam since early this morning.
