South Kashmir on high alert ahead of Rajnath’s visit

Security forces have been put on high alert ahead of Union Home Minsiter Rajnath Singh’s visit to south Kashmir district of Anantnag to interact with security force personnel.

Official sources said fresh advisory has been issued to field commanders to remain extra alert in entire south Kashmir, where security forces have been deployed in strength to foil any militant attack.

Meanwhile, search operations have been launched at various villages in twin south Kashmir districts of Shopian and Kulgam since early this morning.

The Union Home Minister, who arrived here on a four-day visit to the state, will interact with J&K police personnel at District Police Line (DPL) Anantnag.

While on his way back to this summer capital, Mr Singh will meet Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans at Khanabal in Anantnag.
