Lelhari laid to rest after multiple funeral prayers

Lashkar-e-Toiba district commander Pulwama Mohammad Ayoub Lelhari was laid to rest at his native village Lelhar Kakapora after multiple funeral prayers.

As per eyewitnesses, three rounds of funeral prayers were held, to accommodate the huge gathering of people.

Thousands of people from different areas of south Kashmir marched towards the native village of Lelhari despite restrictions in the area to participate in the funeral of Ayoub Lelhari.

People including women and children were seen chanting pro-freedom, pro-Pakistani and pro-militant slogans during funeral procession.

Ayoub Lelhari was killed in a brief shootout between government forces and militants in Banderpora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district yesterday, who according to sources got injured first during Samboora encounter on 6 August.

Meanwhile complete shutdown is being observed in most parts of Pulwama district to mourn the Deathof Lelhari
