Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba today claimed responsibility for a grenade attack on government forces at Magam area of Budgam district in which four personnel were injured.
In a statement issued to a local news gathering agency, Lashkar-e-Toiba spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi congratulated the attackers for carrying out the attack despite stringent security arrangements and warned of similar attacks.
The attack came just a day before Independence Day and amid heightened security arrangements all across the Kashmir Valley.
