Mehbooba led regime surpasses every ‘tyrant, oppressor’: Malik

Condemning the ‘cruel approach’ of rulers and their authorities’ while treating the jail inmates, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik Tuesday said that from 80 year old person to 10 year old boys and women, jails and police stations have been filled with Kashmiris who are being ‘terrorized and tortured’ there.

Citing the example of Syeda Asiya Andrabi and her associate Fahmida Sofi who are languishing in Jammu jail under severe conditions, Malik according to the statement issued here said that Mehbooba Mufti led regime has surpassed every ‘tyrant and oppressor’ in this regard.

While expressing concern over the deteriorating health condition of JKLF district president Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya) who is in Kotbalwal jail from September 27, 2016 serving his second consecutive PSA and Atif Hassan of Anantnag (Islamabad) who is in Kuthwa jail also under PSA, Malik said thousands of young and old likewise are facing Indian ‘state sponsored terrorism’ in jails but ICRC and other human rights organization seem to take no notice of these human rights violations.

He said that today conditions of jails are such that in Kuthwa jail many inmates were stripped recently, beaten and tortured by authorities.

Similarly, inmates in other jails and police stations also are passing through same ‘tyranny and oppression’.

He said that immunity provided to Indian army ,forces, SOG and police to kill, maim, arrest or injure Kashmiris has turned these men in uniform as ‘monsters’ who know nothing of humanity, civilized behaviours’ or human norms.

“Only day before these savages entered a school in Pahalgam and besides beating teachers and students without the discrimination of age or gender vandalized and ransacked the whole school. Same kind of state sponsored terrorism is going on in whole south Kashmir and parts of north and central Kashmir too,” he said.

Terming this situation as ‘alarming’, Malik said that to crush Kashmiri resistance and movement for freedom, Indian rulers and the local government have unleashed an unprecedented reign of terror but “we want to tell them that their oppression will yield them nothing but shame.”

Meanwhile, JKLF delegation comprising of JKLF organizer Siarj ud din Mir, district president Baramullah Abdul Rashid Magloo visited Batapora Sopore and Khanpur Baramulla and paid tributes to slain militants Danish Showkat Ahmad Dar of Batapura Sopore and Javed Ahmad Dar of Khanpura Baramulah.
