Students protest in Handwara and Sopore against the killing of Abu Dujana and his associate

 

 

Clashes have erupted in Handwara College as the students hit the roads amid pro-freedom and pro-azadi sloganeering against the killing of LeT Commander Abu Dujana.

Abu Dujana along with his associate Arif Lalhaari were killed in an encounter with government forces in Pulwama district of south Kashmir earlier today.

According to reports students of Government Degree college Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district  held massive protests against the killing of Abu Dujana and his associate.

The protesting students marched raising pro-freedom and anti-India slogans and pelted stones on police and forces, local sources said. The forces resorted to tear smoke shelling against the protesting students creating tension in the area.

Police has confirmed about the students protest in Handwara college and said that few students tried to create tension in the area after pelting stones on forces.

Meanwhile in Sopore town students of Degree College Sopore also held a protes march and started minor stone pelting on shopkeepers and public transport to ensure shutdown in town against the killing of top LeT commondar and his aide.
