Attack on Yatris reprehensible: Bali Bhagat

 

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today visited injured Yatris at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura, who were injured in Anantnag attack on late Monday evening.

During the visit, Bhagat interacted with the victims and enquired about their health conditions.

The Minister was informed by the doctors that one of the injured namely Lalita, 50, from Gujarat is admitted in the Intensive Care Centre (ICU) for advanced treatment. He was briefed that the lady has suffered cut injuries and the damaged portion has been removed and is stable.

Bhagat also interacted with another injured Yatri Pushpa, 45, who also hails from Gujarat and enquired about her well being.

While condemning the attack, the Minister called it a cowardly and inhuman act. He assured the victims and their attendants of all possible help from the Government for their treatment.

The Minister appreciated the efforts of the local volunteers who came forward and played a pivotal role in rescue efforts.
