Three militants have been killed in Radbugh village of Budgam district in central Kashmir on Wednesday.
The encounter had started on Tuesday evening when forces launched a cordon-and-search operation after they got information about the presence of militants in Radbugh village in Bunmakhama area of Magam . During the operation, forces made a contact with the militants triggering a gunfight.
The deceased militants – identified as Javid Sheikh, a resident of Churpora Narbal, Dawood, a resident of Mustafa Abad Zainakote and Aaquib Gul – belonged to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit.
Three weapons have been recovered from the gunfight site, an official said.
