National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar today lashed at the BJP-PDP-led coalition government in the ongoing Assembly special session in Srinagar.

“Do we really talk about people’s issues here in the Assembly? There are curbs and restrictions in the downtown from last four days, people are being killed, do we talk about these issues here,” He asked. We should ask ourselves.

Speaking in the special Goods and Services Tax (GST) session conveyed by the government to pass the GST bill the state, he said that the Kashmir issue is a political issue and it needs to be addressed.

“We cannot shut our eyes, no one can, Kashmir is a political issue, needs to be addressed,” he added.

Lashing out at New Delhi, he said that New Delhi has never kept its promise and we can’t expect anything from them.

“We can’t hold Kashmir on military might,” he said.

On GST he said that it not only law but more than that.

“Everybody is talking about GST it indicates that it is not simply a law, but something more than that”, he said.
