Men, women and children in a large number were seen in their ancestral villages among mourners. Also, relatives were seen wailing there.
Kifayat who was from the same village where the encounter took place was laid to rest in a hurry as his body was completely burnt due to blasts and fire.
As per reports and witnesses, the funeral prayers were held several times to accommodate the huge rush of people marching from different areas in Chak Keller – ancestral village of Jehangir in Shopian district.
Meanwhile, as per police sources, the body of the third militant was lying in police station Rajpora and then was shifted to police lines Pulwama. His body will be laid to rest in Baramulla.
