Two Indian soldiers were injured today in a ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) by the Pakistan Army, officials said.
“Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked shelling and firing along the LoC in Poonch,” Defence Ministry sources said, adding that the troops from the other side used small arms, automatic guns and mortars to target the military establishments from this side.
The firing started at 1.30 a.m and, Indian Army said, it was retaliated effectively and strongly. The injured soldiers were shifted to hospital. The firing along the LoC has remained a regular phenomenon with the armies from both the sides even targeting civilian habitations that has resulted in heavy casualties from both side.
