An ITBP officer who was on Yatra duty near the cave shrine of Amarnath in South Kashmir Wednesday, has died of cardiac arrest, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector Sanjun Singh.
He complained of severe chest pain while he was on his way to the cave shrine from Brarimarg.
He was then rushed to a hospital at the Baltal base camp where doctors declared him dead on arrival, police said.
