The unidentified gunmen on Sunday shot at Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel in Imam Sahab area of Shopian in south Kashmir.
A senior police official said that the SOG personnel, identified as Khursheed Ahmad was shifted to a local hospital for treatment from where from doctors referred him to 92 Base Hospital in BB Cantonment, Srinagar.
The official said the cop is currently undergoing treatment while the manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.
