Deport non-state subjects  from Kashmir : Er. Rasheed

Expressing concern over the entry of non-state subjects into Kashmir and occupying prestigious places, AIP supremo and MLA Langate, Er. Rasheed asked the state government to deport them out of Valley.

Addressing a gathering at Deedarpora Langate, Er. Rasheed said “Since the last few years, thousands of families, who are neither labourers nor tourists enter the Valley at the beginning of summer and occupy pastures and fields in the city, towns and villages without anyone’s permission. They erect huts overnight and nobody knows about their intentions.

“It is strange that while Kashmiris have to prove their identity ten times a day, these uninvited people occupy any place of their will and nobody can even touch them. People have a right to know with whose permission do they come, what are their activities and why doesn’t the state administration keep a record of their identification and activities.

“They are swelling by the number each year and they are settling down in an organised manner. There is an apprehension that all this is being done as a part of a long term plan to settle them permanently in Kashmir.”

Er. Rasheed asked Mehbooba Mufti government to understand how sensitive was the matter and sought immediate deportation whose number has risen to more than two lakhs.
