Not-so-well-known organization, ‘South Asian Friends’ (SAF), Thursday protested against Pakistan’s alleged decision of making Gilgat-Baltistan one of its province.
Carrying placards, a group of people led by Saleem Reshi, Chairman SAF, appeared just outside UNMOGIP office at Sonwar, chanting slogans: “Lakhanpor Se Gilgat Tak, Kashmir Hamara Hai.”
The group was demanding the “restoration of territorial boundaries that existed in 1947”
“The decision has got the potential of large scale violence and disturbance in the region, if implemented,” Reshi said.
